Lions
LION sightings in ADDO ELEPHANT NATIONAL PARK have become more and more common. The Lions were introduced into the Park in 2005, from Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and are doing extremely well! As breeding is extremely successful some of the origonal and some of the cubs born in the Park have been moved on to other homes to increase the spread of Lions within South African National Parks.

ADDO

The Southern COLCHESTER SECTION of the ADDO ELEPHANT NATIONAL PARK was opened up for animals to roam freely between the northern and southern section, in August 2010, Elepahnts families, lone Bull Elephants, Zebra, Eland, Buffalo and Black Rhino have been spotted. Lions have also been frequently spotted in the Southern Section. Entrance to the Southern Section is only 3km from Elephants Footprint Lodge.
