Park at it's driest in 50 years.

Before the rain on Friday, 18 August AENP was looking extremely dry. Locals are saying that it's been 50 years since rainfall figures were this low over the past few months. Well below mean rainfall figures for this period. Really brings out the Elephants as they gather in numbers around water holes.

Leopard in Addo
The elusive Leopard in Addo has been spotted by 2 groups of tourists in the last 2 weeks of September 2008.
 
Lions
Main LION sightings in ADOO ELEPHANT NATIONAL PARK are in the Waynes Valley area on the Southern access Road. 3 new lion cubs have been born in AENP in June / July. This brings the number of lions in the park to 12. Twice as many as were initially introduced.
